Career Highlights:

Jacques Sallberg, a Team USA member, is currently ranked by Track and Field News #4 in the U.S., and has steadily improved in the 3000sc and continued to maximize his potential: 8:43 (1998), 8:41 (1999), 8:39 (2000), 8:34 (2005), and 8:28 (2006). At age 15, Jacques ran his first 1600 in 4:57 and ran 4:18 his senior year at the Arcadia Invitational (1992). At the California State High School Finals in the 3200, he placed third with 9:04 (1992). At Glendale CC, Jacques won the CrossCountry Conference Championships, setting a course record of 20:25 (1992). He placed second in the Conference Championships in 20:05 (1994) and 7th at the California JC State Cross Country Championships in 20:17. Jacques won the California JC State Championships in the 3000sc in 9:23 (1995). He won the Cross Country Open at Stanford in 25:17 (1995). Jacques won the 3000sc Conference Championship in 9:03 and placed 3rd at the Div. II NCAA Championships in the 3000sc in 8:56 (1996). Returning from injury layoff, he won the 3000sc Conference Championships in 8:55 and the 5000m in 14:44 (1998).
